Welcome to the IFA’s legislative and political advocacy action center. Here you will find all the tools you will need to contact your members of Congress and help elect pro-franchising, pro-business candidates.

As a franchise businessman myself, I can speak with experience about the value of developing and maintaining relationships with your elected leaders to ensure that the congress hears and understands how proposed legislation will affect our businesses. Your Senators and Congressman are elected to represent your views and interests, but they need to hear from you to know how legislative and regulatory proposals will affect you. You are in the best position to engage and educate your elected officials and to tell them how proposed laws and regulations impact the bottom line of your franchised business. If you don’t do it, who will?

As the 2008 election season heats up, click “Learn More” under Campaigns and Elections to register to vote, locate your polling place, and to learn more about the candidates and their positions.
